Focus and scope
The RCLA journal publishes original scientific and technological research results. The journal aims to provide a forum for the dissemination and discussion of research findings related to logistics, management, commerce, and agricultural engineering systems. It also seeks to foster connections between these research areas.
Submitted proposals must not have been previously published nor be under consideration by another journal. Preliminary, incomplete, or inconsequential research documents are not accepted.
RCLA is published by the International Network for Scientific and Knowledge Collaboration A.C., located at Juárez Sur 363, San Lorenzo, Texcoco, State of Mexico, Mexico, C.P. 56140, under an open access dissemination policy (available online).
Currently, its publication in Spanish with aspirations to become bilingual and continuous (quarterly), with e-ISSN: in process. Manuscripts are reviewed by a scientific committee and evaluated anonymously (double-blind peer review) by expert reviewers. Themes Manuscripts submitted to the RCLA must address one of the following themes: Agriculture This area focuses on primary production and biological systems with the following topics: Crop and Animal Production and Management: Includes animal and plant physiology, genetics and biodiversity, management of production systems, and animal nutrition. Plant Health and Protection: Addresses plant health and crop protection against pests and diseases. Applied Technology: Encompasses agriculture Precision, the use of sensors, machinery, and other technologies to optimize production.
- Natural Resources and Sustainability: Includes the management of biophysical resources (soil, water), forestry sciences, and the study of climate change and environmental sustainability.
- Post-Harvest and Agro-industry: Focuses on post-harvest processes, storage, transformation, and value-added activities.
- Economic and Social Sciences: Deals with topics of economics and rural development, as well as the social impact of agricultural activities.
Logistics
This area focuses on the efficient management of the flow of products, information, and resources with the following topics:
- Supply Chain Management: Analysis and optimization of the entire supply chain, from raw materials to the end consumer.
- Transportation and Distribution: Study of transport modes (road, rail, sea, multimodal), routes, costs, and efficiency in the distribution of agricultural products.
- Storage and Inventory: Management of collection centers, warehouses, silos, and inventory control for perishable and non-perishable products.
- Logistics 4.0 and Digitalization: Application of technologies such as IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain to optimize logistics.
- International Trade: Studies on the export and import of products, including regulations and documentation.
- Modeling and Optimization: Use of mathematical models and simulations to improve logistics processes, such as the flow of Grains.
- Reverse Logistics and Sustainability: Waste management, packaging, and the carbon footprint in the logistics chain.
Line: Interdisciplinary and Cross-Cutting
The intersection between both areas is a fertile field for research with the following topics:
- Agrologistics and Competitiveness: Analysis of how efficient logistics impacts the competitiveness of the agricultural sector.
- Logistics Management Models for Small Producers: Design of logistics systems adapted to family or small-scale agriculture.
- Impact of Infrastructure: Evaluation of the role of road, port, and storage infrastructure in agricultural development.
- Food Security and Logistics: How logistics contributes to reducing post-harvest losses and ensuring access to food
