He has led international, national, and sectoral projects and has lectured at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as participated in academic exchanges in Cuba, Colombia, and Venezuela; he was also a JICA scholarship recipient (2010). He participated in the Master’s program in Agroecology and Endogenous Development offered at the Maracaibo University Institute of Technology (IUTM) and the National Experimental University of the South of the Lake (UNESUR) in Venezuela (2012–2016). He has published numerous articles in both national and international journals and books, and has participated in various national and international conferences. Since 2012, he has been a member of the National Doctoral Board in Sociological Sciences at the Cuban Academy of Sciences; he also served on the editorial board of the journal Pastos y Forrajes and the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Matanzas province (2011–2018).
